Please help! After two long years of being on a waiting list for an exotic rare breed cat, we were finally notified by the breeder that at long last, our number has come up, and... WE'RE HAVING A KITTEN! We must IMMEDIATELY get rid of our children now, because we just KNOW how time consuming our new little kitten is going to be! Since our kitten will be arriving on Monday, we MUST place the children in new homes this weekend!!! They are described as:
We really LOVE our children, and
want to do what
is best for them. I hope you understand, that ours is a UNIQUE
situation, and we have a real emergency here! They MUST be placed by
Sunday night at the latest. I hear that in Tennessee there are bins
where you can leave off strays...does anyone know if there is something
like that around here for children?

"The Rest of the Story"
I'm always excited when I'm able to credit an original author for an article that has become practically an internet legend. :-) This article had been on CatStuff for several years when, in August 2009, I received an email from its author. Robyn Christensen said, in part: |
"I wrote this in 1996 when I was
doing German Shepherd Rescue, sent it to a friend of mine...who asked
if she could forward it on, and... the rest is history. I've seen
it changed for other species, and the names changed, etc... but it *is*
my piece :) "... it
amazes me that 13 yrs later,
this piece is still active and timely. Some things never change!" I did ask Robyn if I could keep a couple of changes: the original article is about a family who are adopting a dog. :-) She generously gave me permission. |
