Saturday, July 16, 2005 “Last Fling”
"Today we visited the Kanesville Tabernacle (where Brigham Young was sustained the president of the Church, and the departure point of the Mormon Battalion) and then the Winter's Quarters visitor center across from theTemple and the old pioneer cemetery. They were wonderful.
Lewis Neeley was here those many years ago; charged with building housing for the saints.
Kanesville Tabernacle and statues of the First Presidency, a pioneer handcart memorial, a prospective pioneer test his loaded handcart, and the Winter's Quarter's Temple.
This
is our last full day on the road. Tomorrow we will jump on the road early in
order to terrorize yet another unsuspecting ward for sacrament meeting (in
