June 21, 2005 “Another message from the EAST”
"In our last episode, the wary travelers had discovered really big heads up on a mountain (Steve says he’s seen bigger at ATK), braved a wilderness filled with wild animals, and traveled to the center of the earth . . . well at least 200 feet closer.
Last night the hapless wanderers were swallowed up by the world’s biggest graft shop, but surviving yet another chance to max out the plastic, they are to return today to experience the underwater adventure (the aquarium).
Will they get up in time though? . . . looking at Nick and James still asleep makes their situation seem imperiled . . . but after that 10 hour drive, through, at the very end, a really big wind and rain storm, they need their beauty sleep.
After the aquarium this morning, it is off to the City of Joseph (Nauvoo), for three days (well, nights) . . . so that will be nice not to have to pack and unpack, again, and again. So far we’ve managed to spoil all the food in the coolers . . . what an accomplishment!
Barb drove that last 150 miles or so --- that was good because then Steve got to navigate and we had this really great adventure doing all the four leaves of a cloverleaf until we got going the right direction . . . Gee, can we do that again Dad! That was fun . . . not.
But
the GPS unit is working well (knock on wood). Is there a prayer for a GPS
unit?"
