Okay, the Master wants Angel back on his side so somehow he finds a way to release Angel's soul from his body. So without a soul Angel is totally a vampire with no feelings or remorse and he wrecks havoc. Then it is up to Buffy to figure a way how to deal with this. Personally I think she should stake him. It's about people, just people in a slightly unusual environment (how's that for understatement of the post?). And Cordelia has very much been a part of the trio's lives. She seems to feel a personal antagonism towards Buffy (from the pilot, and because of Owen and Angel in Never Kill a Boy), and a general antagonism towards Xander and Willow simply because they impinge on her existence. As someone pointed out a while back, Joss appears to be trying to bring across a 'teen message' with every episode; Cordelia is there so that Buffy can show young viewers it's ok to not be popular. And, on the lighter side of things, to give the viewers someone they can love to hate. For worthiness of the opening credits - that's completely a matter of how many episodes she was contracted to appear in. Since she's been in almost all of them, she had to be on the opening credits. Which is why Angel wasn't in them, although he will be next season if the show pulls through. And, from the StarChat and the web site blurbs on upcoming episodes, (OOOPS better stick some spoiler space here!) Isn't this fun? 24 lines later... From the StarChat with Charisma, Cordelia plays a large role in the last 4 episodes. From the blurbs, one of those episodes involves Cordelia's friends being picked off one by one, perhaps by a girl she snubbed who developed some sort of psychic powers. So she will be central to at least one Slayer matter. I doubt she herself will turn out to be anything but a non-nice person, though. The spiders might be a good candidate for Giles' worst fear, the clowns are apparently Xander's, and Willow seems likely for a "coming to school naked" nightmare. ____ Theodore Miller SCTQ91A@PRODIGY.COM ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 May 1997 22:11:58 -0600 From: Jill Gillham Subject: Re: BUFFY: My idea for a Buffy Episode Just a caveat for those folks playing around with story ideas. Under NO circumstances should you ever actually send Joss, or anyone involved with the show any of your ideas, whether by snail or e-mail. Basically, it's a legal/intelectual property issue. If you sent an idea to the PTBs,(powers that be) and something similar ever was actually filmed, the PTBs could be sued for "stealing" the idea and not paying the writer/creator of it. Think of the story involving who originally had the idea for the movie "Coming to America" Say, you do send word to your favorite PTB, and they are currently developing a story with a similar plotline. The production folk have to drop the plans for the story. Saying that you want no compensation for the idea is not good enough to cover the legal bases. As far as fanfic goes, it's technically illegal under US law, but most shows/movies turn a blind eye when it comes to fanfic because it generates more goodwill than any offsetting costs. She wouldn't need to use a pocket knife. The following numbers are from the 20th edition of the Dewey Decimal Classification (not the most recent, but Giles generally prefers older things, after all ). Demonology is 133.42 You can get more specific with longer numbers. Satanism (Devil worship): 133.422 Evil spirits: 133.423 The evil eye: 133.425 Demonic possession: 133.426 Exorcism of demons 133.427 The examples that someone else posted to the list were from the Library of Congress classification system, which is generally used in university and research libraries. In the U.S., most public libraries use Dewey. Point of curiosity: are there any other librarians on the list? I'll start with the comment first-- Nicholas Brendon/Xander has a mighty fine shoulder span; you'd think he played football instead of baseball!! Now, my questions: 1--I read on another post that NB is 27 in real life. Is this true? I mean, I know he's older than 16, but 27? I was hoping 22 or so . . . If he's 27, it's great, he looks really young for his age, but I hope he doesn't fall into that "Gabrielle Carteris-90210" age believability thing. 2--Does anyone have the master "Keeper" list? If that's too much to post, can someone just post what stuff of Xander's is taken? I mean 102-104 is like the very very bottom of the list. People have said compare it to other Wb and UPN shows, which true are all at the end of the list (95+) but Buffy has ben doing worse than almost all of them Also, isnt Buffy ony the WB's 2nd drama...in which case being its highest rated drama isnt much (I believe last week buffy was 102, 7th heaven the other drama 103) Don't get me wrong, i love the show and I wish more people would watch it but I dont think we can gloss over the raitings problem. Although, I am being really pessimistic here, Buffy is getting renewed (atleast according to what everyone has said), and the WB seems to be putting a lot of money/advertising into it (I see + hear commericals all the time) so...
