And it has moved up nicely since completing the secondary, no small feat in this market. Currently, I'm into PHM and MNY which I first became aware of through your lists for a tidy net gain. With this M, setting the stops is the key. I also follow Tim's HGS lists, but from the source rather than from Tim, and you beat Roger with those two. Everything becomes short term by default. While I'm sure your efforts spent in compiling the lists may seem futile in this current M, the educational value is considerable as we track your list. I have been actively investing for about 9 years, though mostly LTBH. About a year ago, when I realized I had a 70% annual gain in 1999 without doing anything other that picking the right stocks, I thought it important to learn more about actively managing my investments. I was introduced to CANSLIM about that time. Through the past year have taken a bath, since I've been in a transition between LTBH and actively managing my portfolio ala O'Neal. Interestingly, the portion of my portfolio that has been following CANSLIM is up considerably, while the LTBH is, predictably, very sorry looking. Additionally, I dumped a number of stocks on CANSLIM and support/resistance principles that have made the LTBH picture better than it would have been had I not been introduced to CANSLIM at all. Over all, I've found the discussion here, combined with the tools and resources suggested invaluable. I include in my list of resources you weekly posting of your DGO abstracts. So, for what it's worth, please keep up the good work, and help us newbies make ourselves better. I won't promise to post it every week, as my work schedule is only getting worse from here, but I will try.
