I thought, "fine, I'll just install it from scratch", but it wouldn't do that either. I should have made a backup before the installation, as somehow I lost all the files in "My Documents" after reinstalling Windows95 (and everything else) and removing Win2000. I didn't want to spend anything to that computer to make it Win2K compatible, so I upgraded it to WinME, and bought a new Pentium III to run Win2K on. I needed more memory and speed anyway. If you use Quotes Plus and the QP Virtual program, it's incompatible with Win2k. I likewise became so sick of Win 98 crashes -- in fact my office machine became virtually un-usable. So, I did a complete reformat and clean install of Win 2K. It has worked wonderfully. However, I now find myself very annoyed with Microsoft that they would even sell Win 95/98/ME any longer when they are so unstable...
