In 1999 and early 2000, many stocks that had RS ratings of 90+ stayed there for a LONG time. Same with many of the 90+ EPS ratings at that time. In the current 'M', it takes very little to disappoint hugely and for the stock to get spanked as a result. The moral is that we cannot rely on RS alone in our stock screening. Also, IBD focuses on 1 or 2 stocks almost everyday. With these filters, once you check for the stocks in IBD just go to the companies Web site (or look in one of the portals, such as Yahoo, at "Research"). I agree. The hardest thing about CANSLIM is trying to discover how great management is, and if the company has a new product or service that is more than just the sizzle. jans In a message dated 8/31/2001 11:35:03 AM Eastern Daylight Time, nfrankle@pacbell.net writes: << The CANSLIM system is great for many reasons - its pretty easy to decipher CA SLIM (IMHO).
