I rarely actually sit down and look at the paper each day as I once did, but instead read the time sensitive items each evening at Investors.com, then on the weekend will take a leisurely stroll through things like Investor's Corner, New America, Smart Investor, etc. Of course, for those that use the paper itself for mining, this becomes more of an issue day to day, but I suspect that the percentage of folks who mine for their stocks each day via the paper is actually a small. Maybe IBD figures that for those that do this, they would be willing to pay the additional surcharge for receiving the electronic copy in a timely fashion. Hi, Katherine.

This is true for me, too, except that I begin my = Watch list=20 search with Weekly Review, which is not available on Investors.com, to = my=20 knowledge.

Hi Ann,

I've noticed a huge difference = in my=20 reading habits since IBD started including the Big Picture and other = more=20 time sensitive items on Investors.com. I rarely actually sit down = and look=20 at the paper each day as I once did, but instead read the time = sensitive=20 items each evening at Investors.com, then on the weekend will take a = leisurely stroll through things like Investor's Corner, New America, = Smart=20 Investor, etc.

Of course, for those that use = the paper=20 itself for mining, this becomes more of an issue day to day, but I = suspect=20 that the percentage of folks who mine for their stocks each day via = the=20 paper is actually a small. Maybe IBD figures that for those that do = this,=20 they would be willing to pay the additional surcharge for receiving = the=20 electronic copy in a timely fashion.

Katherine

I received notification today from ibd that my = paper=20 will no longer be delivered, that it will now come in the mail = instead.=20 When I called ibd to ask about the change, I was told that my = carrier was=20 no longer going to deliver ibd, and that I could have two = weeks free=20 trying eIBD, since I lost my delivery. The guy said that they were = doing=20 that for all their customers who lost delivery and were going to = receive=20 ibd by mail. When I asked whether ibd was doing this on purpose to = increase eIBD customers, the guy laughed and said that my carrier = was no=20 longer delivering ibd.

But when I called my delivery service, they = said that=20 they received a letter from ibd recently stating that it was=20 cost-prohibitive for ibd to pay to have so few papers delivered to = one=20 area, and that  they were going to mail the paper=20 instead.

So this seems to be part of another big=20 business/marketing move on ibd's part.

IBD costs 219/year. eIBD costs 295/year. I was = told that=20 I could have eIBD for the same price as ibd, if I so choose, until = my=20 subscription runs out. I think I might like the e-version, if it = were at=20 the same price, but I certainly don't like being railroaded into = the=20 decision by ibd.
