all would be just = reading IBD=20 at face value.  (Ooh - that sent shivers
down my spine).  = So,=20 thank you Jeff!

Hi Jans,

Hold your horses = there=20 partner!   ;-)     It isn't what you=20 think...
;-)

What I've done is subscribe the new = list-server's email=20 address to the
old canslim's distribution list.  I did this so = that=20 current messages
will distribute through the new list-serve. =20 Currently, I'm the only one

that is subscribed to the new = list-server,=20 everybody else is still
subscribed to the old list-server and the = server is=20 still working as it
always has.  You and all other subscribers = do not=20 need to do anything
differently at this point.

The message = you=20 received that your posting is awaiting approval is the
new = list-serve=20 telling you that your posting is being held for approval
(the old=20 list-server had already sent out your message).  Other = people
who have=20 posted in the last 24-48 hours have seen the same thing. =20 I've
subsequently turned the notification message off to help = allivate=20 the
confusion.

Two things to keep in mind regarding your=20 posting:

1) It was delivered immediatly to everybody via the = old=20 list-server and
was not held up in any way to the group.

2) = The old=20 list-server delivered a copy of your message to the = new
list-server. =20 I'm currently the only one subscribed to the new
list-server.  = However, the new list-server didn't recognize you has a
current = member=20 (because you aren't subscribed to the new list-server
yet) and held = up your=20 message to be approved.  It then sent you a
message saying = your=20 posting was being held for approval.

I don't know if this = helped=20 explain things or if it confused you more.
Regardless, just keep = these=20 things in mind:

1) The same old canslim list-server is still in = place=20 and will be until
I indicate otherwise.

2) I won't make the=20 transition unless or until:

  a) I'm confident that the = new=20 list-server will give us equal or better

service.

= b) The=20 transition can be done in a smooth manner.

3) I will continue=20 experiementing in ways that will not disrupt the
operations of the = old=20 list-server, but in ways that may raise questions
or cause = confusion from=20 time to time.  You're not the only person to be
confused by my = experimentation.

4) I may conclude in the end to not make the=20 switch.  However, at this
point I am leaning to making the=20 switch.

5) Once I'm satisfied the move will be good, I'll throw = the=20 switch and
we'll all move over to the new list-server = en-mass.  =20 I won't do this
without letting everyone know a date and a time = well ahead=20 of time.

Regards,

Jeff - canslim=20 admin/owner
