But as far as Australians go it's often a long time between tours, as far as I know they only toured here once before the Wish Tour to promote 17 seconds and Boys Don't Cry in the very early eighties. According to "Ten Imaginary Years" they played very small venues and not many people were privileged to seem in their early career. I didn't mean my boyfriend was "old" for having been there for the Wish tour but rather that I was too "young". As in 1992 I was twelve years old and in that year actually went to see New Kids on the Block in concert! Chronologically, unless I had been a bit more advanced in my tastes at twelve, the Bloodflowers tour in 2000 is the first time I've had the opportunity to see the band in Australia. So, no offence to anyone over thirty out there, all I meant was that I wasn't old enough to see them in 1992. Saw them this summer too. They sound great, put on a terrific show and all around rock. Unfortunately, the Psych Furs were also on the bill and, while I always loved them, was saddened deeply to hear Richard Butler's vocals. I'm hoping he has laryngitis, however he never once offered an excuse to the audience for his inability to hit ANY note! Sad sad! If you get to see the B-men this tour, do so! I used owe some money to my parents when I was a lot younger so I had to smuggle my records into the house. The obsession is easy to get into. I now have to have all formats and promos and videos and country specific releases. I do have a massive collection now but just can't seem to stop buying the same songs over and over again simply because the catalogue number is different. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jessica Petersen" To: Sent: Friday, December 07, 2001 8:45 PM Subject: (descent) Obsessive Collections > Sounds like me when I first discovered the Cranes 5 years ago... I was amazed to find in concert that they were almost as appealing to me as The Cure and still held that rock attitude (not the Motley Crue type, though!) that many bands today don't have. It's already been said to go and see them if you have the chance but I would have to second that because I feel my money was well spent on one of the best rock performances I've ever seen. I've no idea whether they were any better years ago but I was impressed by the 2001 incarnation. Michelle - --- ARIEL019@aol.com wrote: > I saw the Bunnymen last night in LA.
