A recent posting by mariedrozdis@worldnet.att.net (Marie Drozdis)
[thanks Marie]
gave good information on defineing a map directory in sstools
and it also got me to wondering if there are other keywords= 
commands available that I'm not aware of.

Does anyone know of a complete listing of sstools.ini "keywords?"

It would be great to see a "demo" sstools.ini... file posted here on the list
that contained the maximum all encompassing list of commands for 
[fractint]   ...and...
[partobat]

I'm guessing someone might have one handy? 

I'd particularly like to be able to tell partobat to save images to a
specified directory.

I'd also be interested to know if it's possible to tell partobat to 
"not save"  [ i.e.   just generate...skip the save...and move on to the next
image
etc...etc...   as if a slide show....but not saving the images to gif.

P.S. Thanks Les....for the continued posting of montly collections.

I always forget (or am lazy to think about it), so it makes it real simple.
Also Les' instructions helped. It's good to know that you may ask ...

BTW, how do you (and you and you ...) find these wonderful images. I can't
believe it's just playing around. Can you look at a formula and kind of SEE
the potential in it? I always have to start off with a nice one and change
single parameters, often ending up with blank screen. Or is it just getting
experienced to smell the rewarding changes?

The "keywords" you seek are essentially all of the command line parameters that
Fractint supports.
You can easily see the complete list whenever you run Fractint.
Press F1, then press F1 again - this takes you to the Main Help Index (I think
it would be better if this menu came up at the first press!). Now use the down
arrow to move to "Start-up Parameters, Parameter Files".
Go to "Summary of all parameters" - this lists every command that Fractint
supports! (many of which can be usefully employed in your sstools.ini)

Speaking of which...  I render all my images at 1024x768, and so I hacked=
 my
fractint.cfg to remove all the extraneous entries except for the 1024x768
Vesa mode (f2), the 1024x768 disk video mode (sf2), and a few other lower
res modes for previewing.  I made a little batch file (err.. actually a p=
air
of'em) that cycles through all the images in a specified directory, rende=
rs
them (in batch mode) and moves it to a specified directory when completed
(unless you press a key during the render).  It then moves on to the next
image.  I added a command line option that lets you specify an @ini file =
to
use, but I can't get fractint to load an image I saved in the vesa mode (=
f2)
and render it using disk video (sf2).  Even if I specify askvideo=3Dno an=
d
video=3Dsf2 (of course).  It simply shows the image in the VESA mode, rat=
her
than disk video.  I would rather have it do the latter, so I can find the
image in VESA mode, save it, then run my batch file in the bg from win95 =
w/o
having it complain when I switch to & from it.  Could someone fix this (j=
ust
so I wont need to surf through the code) or tell me where I would need to
fix it?
