Nice to hear KLF mentioned again. Quite cool to `see` someone I `recognise` on select mtv, I had just eaten after school and was just about to close down the tv to do some things in another location, when I saw "Bizzzare Greece" in the right corner of the tv ( I imediately thought of Bizzzare on the KLFlist). Of course stayed and I watched the little chat Bizzzare & Thomas had, Bizzare dedicated it (the MAss. ata. video) to the KLF + others. I would also had dedicated it to the people on the KLFlist, but thats me... Am I the only one to think that Massive`s `blue lines` is still their best record? anyway, great Bizzzare!! KLF was mentioned on the telly once again yesterday, not actually mentioned but anyway... The swedish tvchannel ZTV ( who also broadcasted the 2K show back in 97`) had a flashback on what they`ve shown over the years. There was a bit from the first broadcast by ZTV ever, it was from a `party` where the band Rob`n`raz ( have worked with Rowan Heath) was DJing, one of the members Rasmus (raz) was wearing a red longsleeve sweatshirt with black KLF on the front. Question: On which D M-album can I find the original version of D Ms `policy of truth`? ( except on the forthcoming singles collection by D M) `policy of..` is one of the best KLFreleated tracks I`ve ever heard, so I`d like to hear the original. SWEDE`S ( or possible FINNISH people): Did anyone watch the 5:th hockeyfinal ( Djurg. - Farje.)? I`m positive that the DJ at the Globe arena played a part from "whitney joins the JAMMs" in one of the `breaks` during the game. The reporters were talking over the music, but I do think it was "WJTJ" anyway. Build a little snowball, give it a nudge - and off it goes on its own accord. Ironically, they have achieved exactly what the KLF managed to do - Bill and Jimmy sold millions of records by NOT wanting to sell records, they wouldn't do interviews, they would behave when Melody Maker or the NME wanted to do an article on them. They never, ever, played a "gig" (appearences in Clubs don't count). Still they make No. 1 with 3AM Eternal, No. 2 with Last Train To Trancentral so the scene is set - whatever they released from then on will be a hit simply because of the novely value. The KLF started out by stealing samples from other artists and using them for their own ends - this is not new, T.S. Eliot was doing it in the early part of this century, only with the written word. What could be more KLF-esque than ripping of the KLF? Pure Zen on a twelve inch. Imagine the kopyright konfusion surrounding using snatches of "The Queen and I" - especially the bits when Bill is ranting over it. You've got ABBA's record company to deal with, whoever is looking after the legal side for KLF COMMUNICATIONS to deal with, plus the added problem of sampling from a record that shouldn't be in your possesion anyway. Okey, Scooter use a lot of samples in their tracks like The KLF did in the past but they have no style. When they released "Hyper Hyper" here in Germany all DJs included in the greetings at the end of the track were shocked because they did not even know Scooter. And like Westbam said:"Hyper Hyper is the worst record of all times." If you want to enter a quality club here in Germany wearing a Scooter-Shirt the doorkeeper wont let you in ;-).
