For the weasel, Time is a weasel. For the hero, Time is heroic. For the whore, Time is just another trick. If you're gentle, your Time is gentle. If you're in a hurry, Time flies. Time is a servant, if you are its master. Time is your god, if you are its dog. We are the creators of Time, the victims of Time, and the killers of Time. Time is timeless. That's the second thing. It was Radio 1 and they were playing a song called The Darkness by some DJ. I can't remember which DJ it was. Usually I ignore songs that are playing on radios in stores ('cos usually it's rubbish), but this one caught my attention. I thought where have I heard that sound before. I then realised that they'd sampled a section out of The KLF's Last Train To Trancentral and most of the song is made up of that section repeating. Has anyone else heard this and can anyone confirm whether that they took a bit out of LTTT or did they just happen to take the same bit out of the song that LTTT was made from as The KLF did? . # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 09 Jul 2001 10:23:29 EDT From: Darrenforster99@aol.com Subject: (klf) Chart of the Flops - No 9 Feb 1991 I just found this website by accident when searching for lyrics to Nicole's A Little Peace and guess who's at No 9 in the Chart of Flops? http://www.worldofyak.com/flops/flops.cgi?page=chart&for=feb-91 it even includes lyrics:- http://www.worldofyak.com/flops/flops.cgi?page=lyrics&for=doctorin - -tardis . # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 9 Jul 2001 15:44:05 +0100 From: Nigel_Armstrong@tertio.com Subject: Re: (klf) Chart of the Flops - No 9 Feb 1991 The trouble with this site is it makes no distinction between the genuinely funny (Bonzo Dog, Tom Lehrer), the unintentionally funny (Rolf Harris, Leonard Nimoy), the feebly trying to be funny (The Wombles, The Firm) and plain awfulness (Meat Loaf). I just heard the basic, no-words, WTIL as background music for a host on a modern-rock station here in Roanoke. Our local top-40 station uses "Okay, everybody lie down on the floor and keep calm"; and a rap station I pick up from North Carolina uses "it's time...to jam." I don't know where radio stations get their filler music, but this sounds almost like a widely-distributed bunch of samples, since none of these stations would play KLF for the music.
