Listees,
I have an idea for making my own style luggage rack. What kind of tubing size
and type is the best to use, easy to bend but not too easy and where is it
most commonly found (where)? It is a copy of a rack I saw in Italy, while I
was in for a Port Call. I was stuck on the USS Inchon during the Albania
stuff was going on.

Well Guys, an old friend named Jerry Bases, told me that in the old
times they used to carry a bunch of marbles in the pocket to throw
away over your shoulder to warn the cages pretty close from your
behind, this same guy told me astory when traffic laws demans any
motorcycle must have a set of rear mirrors, they start using dentist
mirrors about 1/4" inch wide, this friend currently living and runnig
a motorcycle shop right here is a living motorcycle story at 65.

OK. I used to ride a street bike, and am used to the "regular" helmet that
most cyclists wear. Not too familiar with brands and all that, but I know
to go with the Snell/DOT approved helmets. My question really is, are
"off-road" helmets somehow actually better for off road riding?
Sounds like a stupid question, but I am in the military, and I've been told
before that there are no stupid questions....
Let's pray I don't get some smart-alecky answers......

off-road helmets have a wider opening to accomodate goggles. They are
also vented better to run cooler in hot weather...

for Jackets I'd say the most popular are Darien, Motoport Ultra, and
First Gear Kilimanjaro...for helmets you should go with what fits
you...seriously, if you have a hot spot it will drive you crazy. I have
a head that fits fine in a Nolan and a Arai...the Nolan N100 is a very
popular helmet at half the price of the Arai and Shoei...

Recently sprayed my bike down with dura lube in a can and sprayed it
directly at the mono shock only to find a puddle of shock oil a couple of
[DAZE] later. Lucky that I purchased a parts bike from a lister, and made a
quick transplant for my new years ride.
IT would be great if they made a refurbishing kit for the mono shock ? The
dealer told me 400 - 500 U.S. Bucks. I couldn't believe my ears.
Also , I've added an A13 to my garage, yippie ya hoo, but I ain't partin with
the 85 600 B . The A13 is a luxury ride.SMOOOOOOOOOOTH. + 2x the range.
Went and bought kawi touch up for a saw buck, 10 U.S. dollars and noticed
that the blue green in the bottle doesn't match the bikes color ? HMMMMM? Did
anyone run into this problem?

You probably need to reset the parameters in the PCM (power train control
module) not to be confused with your TCM (transmission control module) or
your ECM (that would be electronic control module). You will need some
electrical tape, mechanics wire, a power drill, 2 screwdrivers, a pair of
pliers, and a BFH (big ******* hammer). You may also require an updated set
of Alleviated Unobtanium Fuel to Noise Augmenters and a set of jumper
cables. Install the Augmenters with the afore mentioned tools following the
enclosed instructions. Then connect the jumper cables very carefully to
each one of your nipples. Next apply your lips to the end of the tail pipe
as though you were going to administer CPR and SUCK REALLY HARD. If this
doesn't work then hit it with the hammer.

I don't think the clock is the problem. When you look at an A-series
KLR650, it seems like the clock is looping in 1987.
You might have more luck if you can find out which friend hid the keys
when you got paralytic the other night.

I have a somewhat out-of-date web page devoted to Edward Abbey (and a
number of other Western writers.) Take a peek if you are interested:

The link to the documentary is down, but I will have it updated with the
film in RealPlayer format next week.
I teach a web-based class on Abbey and several others:
