My buddy may be able to borrow a NX250 and join us. As for my schedule I can only commit Saturday the 19th to the run. Has a meeting/start point been determined? I know a few of the roads in the North Bay, but not enough. Would the glider port in > Calistoga be a good starting point, say 8am? > ~Nanda > Walnut Creek CA That would work, you might be a little earlier to Calistoga than you need to be...it's about a bichin ride from Calistoga to Upper Lake, by the way. Calistoga, you go over Mt St Helena (CA 29) to Middletown, and get on 175 north through Cobb Mtn, then you pick up 29 again, through Lakeport to Upper Lake. It would be about 1.5 hrs from Calistoga to Upper Lake. By the way, the glider port is closed down, I don't know what it is now....I think it's awaiting conversion to some type of wine-yuppie vacation business. I could meeet you in Calistoga, and that might work for any other riders from south Bay or East Bay. Coming up 29 is fast on a weekend, if you're out there before all the wine country tourists....they are really slow, in their Lexus SUVs. As far as dates go, I am figuring on a one day ride, with an overnighter up north somewhere. I only posted the Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday notice to figure out who wants to go when. You could have a great one-day ride, end up in Covelo, and take the highway home (lots less fun than waiting til the next day and backroading it home). You will be tired, after that ride. So the itinerary is still wide open....but I'm hoping to meet some of the fellow listers, and do some riding. It's big, white and high impact plastic. Am I naive or is such a cover overkill? Has anyone ever been in a situation where they regretted not having such a cover? As I am inclined to more dirt than street riding, should I be concerned with not having such a cover? That first grab for the brakes that it takes to reapply the pressure against the rotor feels kind of like stepping on a fresh dog turd.
