We packed into the Sierra San Francisco to visit the cave paintings made famous by Earle Stanley Gardner and Life magazine in the 60's and by Harry Crosby's book "The Cave Paintings of Baja California" recently re-released by Sunset Press in San Diego. I won't take up list space on this but if anyone is interested you can contact me off list. This was one of the most incredible trips I have ever done into some very remote and very beautiful canyons. Yeah, thanks, Gino, me too. My first thought on reading the "Run the chain through a kerosene soaked rag" advice was, "OK, up on the centerstand, into first, let 'er spin, hold the rag and touch it to the chain." Not bright. 'Course, I'll continue to change wall outlets without popping the breaker... -Spike Visit the KLR650 archives at http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=klr650 Support Dual Sport News... dsneditor@softhome.net To subscribe/unsubscribe send message to majordomo@lists.xmission.com leave subject blank. Although I am having a real block about installing the Scottoiler > that's sitting on my workbench - so many little bits. Not to worry. Most of those little bits end up in the trash anyway, as they are there just to give you more installation options for different bikes. I installed mine in a field as night fell over the BMWMOA national rally last year. Took about 30 minuites with just a screwdriver and a pocket knife. The same instalation has worked fine for the last nine months of daily service. Do it. It life oh, so much simpler. - -Tom '96 KLR 650 Visit the KLR650 archives at http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=klr650 Support Dual Sport News... dsneditor@softhome.net To subscribe/unsubscribe send message to majordomo@lists.xmission.com leave subject blank. What's the concensus? Worth it or not? Likely to lube your tire or not? Better than carrying a can of Chain Wax? It's not the cost I am so concerned about (if it saves the life of even one chain...etc.) it's aggravation. PS. If this has been covered, please accept my apology.
