He is > apparently nearer the dashboard than the rest. To my eyes he isn't seated in > the backseat but in the frontseat, the driverseat, more accurately. I don't wanna be pigheaded, but I'm quite sure that the small round photo (!!, see below) on the dashboard left to the steering wheel shows Emil Schult in the backseat of the car. It should be the original photo which was intended to be the back cover, but later Emil's head has been replaced with Wolfgang's. If you look carefully at the dashboard photo, you can even see some strands of Klaus Roeder's hair, who is sitting beneath Emil. Even you can recognise the car windows behind and beneath Emil's head, which would be impossible if he would be seated on the driver's seat. If we assume that the back cover photo shows the real backseat arrangement (which is - from the left to the right - Ralf, Florian, Klaus Roeder, Emil with Wolfgang Fluer's head), then this small round picture on the dashboard can not be produced by a mirror. The rearview mirror shows the back cover picture (naturally) the wrong way round, while the small round dashboard picture does NOT. So it must be a photo. > > Moreover, have you notice the driver who drives the black Mercedes on the > opposite lane? Not yet. > He may be Karl Bartos. (?) Hmmm ... Other ideas? The way the tunes of Hutter, Schneider, Bartos, Schult and Schmidt were approach were with the same humorous undercurrent as the originals, I have have heard other "tributes" but they all were rather strident, pale and unconvincing . This CD however takes a genre and makes it it's own, with the shadowy espionage of Carmen Miranda films, in full Technicolor! The flavors run the gamut! These tunes bring to mind how Yellow Magic Orchestra converted Martin Denny's "Firecracker", splendid, simply splendid! So much so that the heavy handed tributes of the past lay DEAD in it's wake!
