There's a chapter of letters written by fans in this edition -- I was delighted to see the first in the list is one from Robot (AKA Melanie), probably the planet's most fanatical KW fan. Good on you Wolfgang! ps. I think you'll find they were originally inspired by Lec Zeppelin et al, & both of them were in a Zep like band at first. They used to be called Rocket Science (they were better in those days) & generally have a lo-fi meets Autechre meets Cult TV meets Aphex Twin kinda sound. I prefered them a few years ago, but saying that, their new album is quite good :O) Well done lads! ade. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info kraftwerk" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email kraftwerk@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # Other questions? First thoughts: great cover design (better than the German one) but terribly conservative text design, I think innappropriate for a book about Kraftwerk. At least it's printed on good quality paper. I like the structure -- short chapters, like little snapshots. There seems to be about 25% or more new text than the German edition. A couple of new photos, but a number of photos in the German edition have been removed in this new version, including many of the early KW ones. Pity the shot of the Mata Hari is gone, too; I thought that gave a real flavour of early 70s Dussldorf and the early Kraftwerk world. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web. A month has gone by and there is still no sign of the arrival of this package. There is no sales contact info at the website, so does anyone have ideas as to how I can persue them for my purchase item? I buy a lot of things on the internet but this is the first time I have been affected by "good website / inept distribution" syndrome. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web.
