The dancing at the end of showroom dummies is fantastic and can change your view on kw! I=B4d also like to thank everybody who has suggested other artists while we are waiting... This really makes being on the list worthwhile. I=B4ve especially liked Boards of Canada and some of Anthony Rothers songs. As a norwegian I would recommend "Subgud" to the list, their cd "Magnet" has to be some of the better music made in Norway, which might not mean much, but... For starters try the song "Mentalika" with samples from "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash. I guess most of you are familiar with the one man group "Biosphere" which is also very good. I hope this will make the list even easier to use, and a little prettier to look at (though I need to do some more work in that direction). http://web.bham.ac.uk/busbykg/kraftwerk/links/ As always, this is a work in progress, so any little faults in this version will be fixed next time round. :-) I hope you enjoy this index to Kraftwerk. It's interesting (I think) to note that Web pages about Kraftwerk are available in 15 languages. The album 10,000 Hz Legend is really excellent - better than Moon Safari. Go out and get a copy as soon as it's released. I can't listen to the track "Electronic Performers" without thinking of Kraftwerk. - -ericg- # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info kraftwerk" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email kraftwerk@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # Other questions? I've incorporated all the suggestions that have been sent to me by viewers over the geological era since the last update. Thanks to everyone who contributed! I still have some more minor updates to add, but they will be done gradually when I have time. I start my MSc project work tomorrow so there's no telling when the next update will happen. Due to a reorganization of the rest of my home page, the URL has changed to: http://www.cuug.ab.ca/~lapierrs/creative/kraftwerk/index.html The old URL will get you a page saying the URL has changed. :) (I tried to hide the redirection using symlinks and CSS tricks, but Netscape 4.7x apparently has some major bugs that make it impossible to hide the fact that a page using style sheets has moved. Sorry for the botheration for people who will have to update links.) - -- /* Soleil "Ra" Lapierre http://www.cuug.ab.ca/~lapierrs */ # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info kraftwerk" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email kraftwerk@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # Other questions?
