OK, there have been lots of posts of track lists, tracks missing here, tracks missing there, but I haven't been able to follow it all. What I do know is that there are 2 remix albums being released. Volume 1 is out now, and it is stereo (not mono like the original Aubrey a few years back). I take it CDNOW, has the correct track list for the US version, as it has sound bites for all of the tracks. What I don't know is whether or not there is a non-US CD release with different tracks (talking about Volume 1 here). I have seen a 4 LP vinyl, non-US release with a different track listing. Besides different tracks, are there different mixes on these different releases? Is their a non-US CD for Volume 1? If so, anyone know a reliable on-line vendor selling it? Is Volume 2 going to be as convoluted as well? What ever happened to a simple worldwide release? Fripp & Belew are two really great guitarists. Man, they do interesting and wonderful things with their guitars. Trey Gunn is also amazing with that 12 string touch bass, guitar or whatever that thing is. (Below is a entry from Trey Gunn's diary about the Knoxville show.) We couldn't see Robert Fripp because he sits down facing the left side of the stage and we were on the right side. Anyway, he plays a guitar synthesizer and it was used throughout the show. They played this really nice Ambient tune around the middle of the show. Adrian Belew left the stage and it was only Robert, the drummer Pat Mastelotto, and Trey Gunn playing his Touch Guitar. That was some nice sounds. (Trey mentions this song (Cyriel) below) Freakin live Ambient music created by real instruments...well they did have a lot of electronic gadgits around them. I will definitly go see them again. Do not miss these guys if you are one of those of who will be catching them on the Tool tour. Oh, Adrien has these two synths setup next to him that he rarely touch except for during one tune where he would just touch what looked like pads. He would also wave his hand over some area on the back and these samples of percussion instruments came out. Pretty cool! Thanks Tuesday 24th. July, 2001 Knoxville, TN / Tennessee Theater Good show, though quite dispersed. Beautiful old concert hall. Very ornate in that 1930's Masonic kind of a way. We decided to play two sets tonight. one of just newer material and one of older material. I think it worked quite well. One thing was for sure, the audience needed two sets in order to settle themselves. For some reason hardly anyone came to the gig on time. We were asked if we should hold the show to wait for the hundreds of people who hadn't shown up yet. We decided not to wait. We were ready to play and the show was advertised to start at 8:00. We hit the stage at 8:05. But, the audience was still coming in. And coming in with giant tubs of Fosters Lager. Everywhere I looked people were holding those giant cans of Fosters. It seemed so out of place in this theater -- a beautiful room with nice velvet seats and tubs of beers in people's hands. By the second set everyone settled in and we were finally together. Cyriel is becoming quite mood piece. Sort of filling the space that One Time functions well in: a vast open space in the set. The encored rocked, with Thrush, Construktion (a very new piece), and Elephant Talk. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orb" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orb@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. ------------------------------ End of orb-digest V2 #493 *************************
