Anyone catch all of the orb set at shoreline? I saw one taper (er, MDer?) to my right near the AC about mid-tent. I caught what I guess was the tail end of Timo Maas and then the beginning of the orb. During the transition, someone played what sounded like PIL(or Johnny Lydon at least)--I'll assume LX.... Anyway, I caught LFC and then into the next tune--then bailed to catch NEW ORDER. Great set--first time I've seen 'em look like they all really enjoyed themselves. With Billy Corgan in tow--go figure. :) Arthur Baker was there--in the row behind me just off to the left--as Barnie pointed out--along with a remark about their large penises. And then the folks who actually held those seats showed up and kicked him out--heh! I was dead middle, two ppl back, so had an awesome view. I noticed they set up very early, and the space doll thingy was rocking on the board all through Timo Maas. I know mixes more by sound than name, but I know they did Toxygene, LFC, Blue Room, Firestar, Perpetual Dawn (!!!), other stuff, ended with Mr. Sandman (they went over like 15 mins!) Hands down, Maritime Hall was THE best show so all else pales in comparison. No tent problems at any time - they threw the sides open for Oakenfold (who played PPK's Resurrection straight through - - damn I love that one - but was otherwise yawn material). Caught last 30 mins of New Order - very good. Was with Moby lovers so stayed - he didn't go into his diatribe, just played music and good laser show - was OK for the Moby ilk. I looked for but didn't see Rachel with her horns... Simon Posford later joined up with Raja Ram to create Shpongle and make some of the most wonderful music I have ever heard. > 03,04 remixed by Dr.Alex Paterson & Kris Weston/the Orb, engneered by Greg > Hunter I bought this disk when it came out in 1994. I got it for the Orb remixes, but like the other mixes better. At the time, I didn't even know who Simon Posford was, and I hadn't looked at the liner notes recently enough to make the connection until you posted.
