NO, I will not let you know whether I am for or against capital punishment because I am just as emotional as anyone on this list when it comes to that subject. Everyone will have an opinion here and everyone truly believes that their opinion is the right one and will attempt to convince those with opposing views that they are wrong. Ain't gonna happen, most of us believe in our feelings very strongly and our minds aren't going to be changed. Can we just use this as a forum to discuss our views and opinions, respect those with opposing opinions, and stop flaming, insulting and hurting people about what they believe is right, telling them they are wrong and the whyto and wherefores of why they are wrong. Its too late for Ms. Tucker in Texas and we cannot change what's happened or will happen again and again. You have to put yourself in the place of the family that lost someone. Look how many lives that impacts-spouses, children, relatives, friends who will NEVER be the same. Think about your loved one not coming home tonight-what would that do to you emotionally, financially etc... My great-grandfather was murdered when my mom was young-the man got a jail term-got out many yrs later-was that fair? I feel that a person who kills comes to a point when they make that decision, kill or walk away-if they choose to kill, why not be punished? Isn't there a line out there that says "an eye for an eye." Someone on a radio station here gave an example w/the Carla Faye story-he said imagine two black men walk in a house, beat a man, tells the woman they won't hurt her, the 2nd man gives the final blow to the man that kills him-enjoys it SO much, that he starts on the woman-having an orgasm w/each blow and doesn't stop until the pick ax is embedded. Would you have felt the same if they were being executed-now put CFT in their place. NO ONE deserves to take a life, then go on w/theirs unpunished-that's just the way I feel and as Shannon said, if someone took my child-or husband-I would not hesitate to go after them! donna j This message was from "Gary & Donna Joy" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Marsha >>> "Beverly Marubbio" 02/06 11:12 AM >>> This one's mine - Some members of the list have been feeling neglected because they signed up for secret swaps. They think they have been forgotten because their monthly "gifts" did not come in as timely a manner as they would have liked. You know us rubberstampers - we love to receive presents and try new things. So, Marsha, the Pouters have started their own club - they are having a huge pity party at the moment. I say they should be sending more RAK's = and preparing to apologize for be impatient. My crystal ball told me that stampers are really special and take care of each other.
