I can't verify if any of his emails had one or not as I had not reinstalled my NortonAV yet since a clean windows install a couple weeks ago. Personnally I'm never worried about VBS viruses because they only affect MS Outlook or Outlook Express and I will not use those programs because of this and because I don't care for them. (I use Eudora.) I just installed my NortonAV and it found no trace of the mentioned virus that everyone else is seeing from Jim Boutilier. It did find a couple files in my attachments directory with a W95.hybris.gen virus but as far as I can tell it had never been installed to my system since I don't run attachments that I am unfamiliar with. As for the maillist, there is no way I can stop an email with a virus from going out on it unless I change over to a format where I have to manually approve every single message that is sent out and I don't have time for this. I don't know if Xmission's majordomo has any type of check on email sent through it and since I have no control over that software there is nothing I can do there. My personal recommendation is to always have a Virus Checker running on your computer such as V-Shield by McAfee or NoronAV with autoprotect turned on. These check every file that is accessed or run for viruses. If you don't currently have any Anti-virus software you should! - -J!m - ---------------------------------------------------------------- TrekTrade is also available in a digest format.
