Take the german maxi-CD. They also have an office in the States: ESPRIT RECORDS 1122 East Pike Street #811 Seattle, WA 98122-3934 USA Fax (206) 323-1182 Yours, G E O R G # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Email majordomo@xmission.com with "info yello" in the message. # Postings must go to yello@xmission.com -- replies go to original sender. # Yello discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?yello ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Apr 1998 16:23:00 +0100 From: Bekaert.T@daikin.be Subject: (yello) It's a draw I had 6 people who really entered the contest and 6 who apologised afterwords. This should have been a warning because: IT'S A DRAW. Yes, 2 people actually got 6 of them right. It doesn't really need mentioning that nobody even got close to answer No. 2. On first place are: GEORG being: a9103394@unet.univie.ac.at from AUSTRIA (I hope) and : Contrix being: contrix@club-internet.fr from FRANCE (again I presume) I hope they enjoy sharing the first place as they both had 6 correct answers. However, GEORG had Q4 right, Contrix was better on Q3. On second place is Jeroen Broekhuizen who had to let them pass because he only knew half of the movie question. Still, this gives him a score of 5+. The strange thing is, he would have won if he didn't answer "Monolith" on Q8. After "Monolith", only 26 min and 23 sec have passed. Maybe I should have made clear that in most countries (except for Holland) a 90min tape contains at least 90min :-) Third but most responsive on the list was Chris Norton with 5. Thanks for all replies. The fastest starter of them all only gave me 1 answer, and it was right. 1 point for Q1 to Victor@soros. Cheers and beers. Last but not least is Jakob88 who didn't really answer any questions but who did reply, so I'll count him anyway just to even up the score. Setteling back to my usual speed I am still thinking if I should continue the contest. I have some ideas about this with WAV files and so on but this is a future dream. At this time, it's been fun. I would have never believed it after listening to his excellent voice on `Moon On Ice`. And he`s dead?? Sad news indeed. Musky is the same as Magnetic?? F**king hell! I had both Carl Cox`s and Yello`s CD`s sitting on my shelf for ages and I never realised. Just played them both. Guess which one I like best (I am loyal)! Does anyone know where I can get some really rhythmic percussion-based music from, like the stuff out of `On The Run` and numerous other Yello classics? I`m talking about all those conga`s, slaps and bongo`s bouncing off each other in a latino frenzy. I think that style of music may originally have come from Brazil but I`m not sure. Bye now, Bonzo@wbvm.demon.co.uk `Rhythm is life, and life is a never-ending song...` # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Email majordomo@xmission.com with "info yello" in the message. # Postings must go to yello@xmission.com -- replies go to original sender. # Yello discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?yello ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Apr 1998 09:25:37 +0200 From: "Jonas Warstad" Subject: (yello) Yello vs Billy MacKenzie I've started a small mailing list/contact net for those who appreciate Billy MacKenzie/Associates.
