Hi,
Hafen's collection of biographies are a great resource. Unfortunately,
they are copyrighted, and the copyright holder has chosen to not keep them
in print, and consequently they have become rare and extremely expensive.
Therefore, it will be a long time before we can add them to the web page -
the copyright likely won't expire before I do!

There is an alternative y'all should know about though. Excerpts from the
original collection of biographies have been re-printed by University of
Nebraska Press- Bison Books. There are three volumes so far - the titles
are: "Mountain Men and Fur Traders of the Far West", "Trappers of the Far
West" and, most recently, "Fur Traders, Trappers, and Mountian Men of the
Upper Missouri". These volumes comprise 52 biographies from the original
Hafen series. They are readily available in paperback - I think I have a
link to the publisher at the "Mountain Men and the Fur Trade" web site.

Hope this helps...
