Howdy Mark,
I am sure you will get a jillion posts as to how to remove the brass jag
and patch from your barrel,  I have had a number of folks bring in their
shooter with the same problem over the years.  I would rather pull the
breech plug, but if that is not possible try locating someone or a club
that has a Co2 cartridge powered ball remover, TC, Rapine, and Traditions
make and sell them.  Try aiming  into a soft berm of dirt and blowing the
stuck pieces out.  If that isn't possible, a couple of grains of four F
under the nipple should  normally work, again shoot into soft dirt so as
to recover the brass.  I have even been able to re -use the brass in some
instances.  Good luck, be safe!
