Thanks to all who answered my post about feeding my recently acquired 
Uberti Hawken. I will probably try a few more combinations just for 
grins, but the .520/.010 combo that you all recommended shines. I 
fired her for the first time a few days ago. To help these ole eyes 
of mine see center a little better I put a orange 1" dot center 
target. On my first shot at 50 yds from a bench it flat punched the 
the dot. Not a trace of orange except in th bushes behind the target. 
Surely shoots true.

Waffalo - IMHO the Uberti is a very good replica of the Hawkin. I 
think at least as good a the Lyman. THe main reason I didn't go for 
the Lyman in that I prefer the rust brown barrel and case hardened 
furnature over that on the Lyman Plains Rifle. Also I believe the 
barrel on the Uberti in heavier being just over 1" accross the flats 
then the Lyman which if I remember is 15/16.

Now all I have to do is find a .520 ball mold.
