The bird said something to him.  But Beau, being a cat, didn't understand bird language.  "Meow mreow mrewer" Beauregard answered.  Of course. the bird didn't understand cat language, either.

Finally, the bird pointed his wing, and Beau saw a path leading deeper into the woods.  He decided to follow it.

The bird flew out of the tree and circled Beau for a few minutes, then settled back into the leafy branches.
