Howdy! Here is the house. She came with a name and I kinda like it.. L U C Y Anyway, Lucy needs a lot of work as you can see from the photos. She was pretty well gutted when I came into the picture. The last few weeks progress has been coming along. The plumming is all complete. The electrician started the weekend of Aug 14, 99 and he is fast. Already have the upstairs wired and lighting for the basement completed. I am doing seller finance since no conventional, or un-conventional for that matter, finance institution would touch the place. So I pay Kevin until I can get a conventional loan. The electrician should be complete around the first of or mid-september. Brian Bales, number to come. Masons will hopefully start this wednesday (aug 18, 99) so that way I can get the framers back in to finish framing some of the walls. I have contracted with Steele and Son's, Clifton Steele, to do the work. Clifton has been doing professional restoration masonry work for over 40 years. I'll let you know how it goes. The framers did a good job with metal. This keeps it low profile so I don't loose much in the way of room space. All the framing, joists, attic, and exterior wall spaces will be filled with spray foam insulation. This gives excellent heating and cooling protection, fire prevention, glues it all together, and can eliminate a good deal of moth and spider infestations. After all is done with wiring and framing I will be running ethernet, fiber optic, coax, and audio cable through the home. Will also be installing a security system which will provide video protection and integrate with an x10 home automation system. The tile work is turning out to be fantastic. I am really pleased with the downstair bathroom. R K D Tile and Ceramic - Rob Dean - 598-2226 Hopefully I will be building a fence around the deck this weekend. That is all I can think of for now. More to come.
