The Mayflower Society is an educational and patriotic heritage organization highlighting family, country and God. August 30, 1948, the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, issued a charter to Utah, forming the Utah Chapter with 28 charter members. Members of the Mayflower Society are men and women from all professions, skills and talents. Their strength, knowledge and service make our state strong with their notable accomplishments. All qualified people are welcomed and encouraged to join the Society of Mayflower Descendants. Take pride in the earliest American heritage. The values that America was founded upon are as relevant today as they were in 1620 when, braving formidable challenges, tenacious European passengers reached the shore of now Plymouth, Massachusetts. This was the beginning of a great nation of freedom. Come meet your cousins! Welcome aboard!
