; July 26, 1997: Elephant Pieces ; ; elephant pieces ; ; Fractal visionaries: ; ; The other day I stumbled upon these two ponderous and playful pink ; pachyderms parading peacefully past my screen. Papa pachyderm on the ; left is keeping a watchful eye on baby pachyderm playing on the right. ; ; These are not your usual East valley elephants. These jumbos live in ; the East Valley area sure enough, but this picture views them from a ; different angle, in this case 4 degrees from the XW plane. As can be ; seen, the elephant patterns hold their shape surprisingly well this ; close to the XW plane, in fact they are visible through an entire 360 ; degree rotation. ; ; The scattered debris floating above papa elephant appears to be parts of ; a third elephant that never came together. Perhaps it exists in a ; nearby plane, but I haven't looked. ; ; The elefants.gif file is posted to a.b.p.f. and a.f.p., where hopefully ; it will be available for all who wish to pick it up.
