Today's image is located in some fractal debris on the ; northern outskirts of the fan. ; ; Just to be different, I rendered the scene with the outside set ; to 'tdis' and the inside a brilliant bluish white. I named the ; resulting image "Slip-Sliding Along", though I have long since ; forgotten why I chose such an apparently inappropriate name. ; ; Despite the awkward name, I rather liked the image, so I decided ; to rate it at a respectable 7. The calculation time of a little ; over 2-1/2 minutes on the not-quite-supersonic P4-2000 machine ; is brief enough for all but the most impatient fractalists. ; ; But the impatient and patient alike will be pleased to totally ; forget such a mundane task as calculating a parameter file. The ; finished image has already been calculated and has been posted ; to the FOTD web site at: ; ; ; ; where it may instantly and thoroughly be enjoyed. ; ; A near perfect day prevailed here at Fractal Central on Thurs- ; day, with blue skies, puffy cumulus clouds, low humidity, and a ; temperature of 81F 27C. This satisfied all but the hardest to ; satisfy. The fractal cats, ever easy to satisfy, spent most of ; the day waiting for the local chipmunks to appear. When the ; critters failed to show up, the cats satisfied themselves with ; their faces in their tuna dishes. ; ; My day was rather busy, which is why this FOTD is later than ; normal. Tomorrow will be slower, which can bode only well for ; the next FOTD, due to appear in 24 hours. Until then, take ; care, and pleasant dreams of fractals. ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jamth@mindspring.com ; jimmuth@aol.com ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= Slip-Sliding_Along { ; time=0:02:38.51-SF5 on P4-2000 reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=allinone.frm formulaname=MandAutoCritInZ function=recip passes=1 center-mag=+1.10648424717369200/+1.669336853849603\ 00/267025.4/1/130/1.10968281001599944e-007 params=-4/-1.3/-0.25/-5.2/0/0/0/0 float=y maxiter=2000 inside=255 outside=tdis periodicity=10 colors=000MKOjUIiQHjscjtdiufivgiwhctfZrdUpcPnaU`w`\ ZjgWXnTJvQ5jP5ZN5ZO7ZPAZQDYRGYSJYTMXVPbdUioZbg`V_b\ NSdGKf8Ch04k26h48e6Ab9CZBEWDGTFIQIKMMIMRGNWEN`COdA\ Pi8Pn6Qs3Rlfwl`wlUwkNwkGwj9wdBzYEzSGvLJrEMmBNk8Om4\ Po_CgVFiQIkKLmIVnFepDoqAusFzzKuzQssVpt_ntektjitpfu\ meqicmfbib`d_Z`WYXTWTPUOL_MgRKfUHWyvWstVmrVfoU`mTU\ jSePRq3Sk4Ud5WY6YR7ZL8`E9b7Ad0BsK9nPDiVHd`L_fPVlTQ\ rXLxaLpcMheN`hNSjOKmPCoQ3rQ5pQ7nP9kPCiPEgOGdOIbNL_\ lQXkXZjc`hkbgrdezf`qeWgdRYcMObGE`EVPBkCB`HBQNBETAE\ V9EX7EZ6E`5Eb3Ed2Ef0EiKCSdAAdAAcAAcAAbAAbAAaAAaAA`\ 9APHGCQMJQOQPRXOTcNWjMYqL`yKctLYoMRjOK`OSQP`XPPcOD\ f_Blp8my5ms6ll8keAkZBjSDiLFhEHdJF`ODXTBTZ8VYAXXC_W\ EaVGcUIjRKiQJkOInLHoJGrEFtBEv8Dw4Bu4Bq4Cl4Ch4Dd4E_\ 4EV4FQ4G5ug9mhDeiHYjLQkPIlTAmX1ogQQso0v_7zKFyIDxGA\ vE8uC5s92sC4tG7tK9uOCuSEvWHv_JwcMmiMcoNTvOUsPVpQWm\ RXjSYfUGSNy7hrMXk`LkYKuuz } frm:MandAutoCritInZ {; Jim Muth a=real(p1), b=imag(p1), d=real(p2), f=imag(p2), g=1/f, h=1/d, j=1/(f-b), z=(((-a*b*g*h)^j)+(p4)), k=real(p3)+1, l=imag(p3)+100, c=fn1(pixel): z=k*((a*(z^b))+(d*(z^f)))+c, |z| < l } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint
