; Today's image rates only a 6, which is un-exceptional, but it's 
; still a rather interesting one, filled with various unexpected 
; features and assorted other minor delights.

; The parent fractal is a Mandelbrot set with two parallel main 
; spikes.  Today's scene lies in the chaos between the spikes just 
; east of the two large minibrots.
; 
; The curious value of the real(p2) parameter is critical.  The 
; parent fractal has perfect X-axis symmetry only at this strange 
; value, which is the reason I named the image "Land of 
; Strangeness".
; 
; The calculation time of 12-1/4 minutes is slower than I would 
; like.  Rendering the image with passes=g cuts the calculation time 
; significantly, but it also misses much of the finer detail.
