Perhaps the best rendering is achieved by ; resetting the logmap to 'yes' and setting the outside to 'tdis'. ; Unfortunately, this increases the calculation time to an hour, ; and I'm not sure the result is worth the effort. ; ; Since the Mandelbrot set has been examined and examined again so ; many times, I could give the image a rating no higher than an ; average 6, but it's really a rather pleasant scene, with its ; strikingly intense colors. ; ; The name "The Far North" indicates the location of the scene ; in respect to the main bay of the M-set. Those who wish to be ; reminded of Greenland by the name, may do so at their pleasure. ; ; The 41-second calculation time of the fast parameter file will ; pass in a flash.
