(I'll leave it to the erudite physicists to debate ; whether photons, and all the other sub-atomic 'particles' for ; that matter, should be considered objects.) ; ; I named the image "A New Seahorse" because I've never before ; seen a similar 'object' in a Seahorse Valley". The rating of a ; 7 is FOTD average, though with a calculation time of over 96 ; minutes, the image is over-priced. The calculation time is slow ; because the image is located quite deep in its parent Seahorse ; Valley, where the iteration count is very large. ; ; Perhaps the most striking feature of the image is its reddish ; background. I usually prefer deep blue backgrounds, but for ; some reason the red background of today's image worked well ; enough, at least for this one fractal. Instead of reminding us ; of a heaven up there, the image hints at a hell down below. ; ; To avoid the cumbersome calculation, view the finished image on ; the official FOTD web site at: ; ; ; ; or view the high-definition version at: ; ; ; ; The original web site may be accessed at: ; ; ; ; Today brought a taste of autumn to Fractal Central at the end of ; summer. The weather was sunny, but the morning temperature of ; 43F +6C kept the fractal cats totally in cold-weather mode. The ; humans, always alert for weather changes, realized that warm ; weather does not prevail year-round in the temperate zones, and ; had a few thoughts about preparing for the coming cold and snow. ; The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours regardless of the ; weather. Until next time, take care, and with all the cameras ; around, when will we get a convincing photograph of a BESA (bug- ; eyed space alien)? ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jimmuth@earthlink.net ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= A_New_Seahorse { ; time=1:36:54.91-SF5 on P4-2000 reset=2004 type=mandel center-mag=-1.7685296106390\ 0714/9.92063871520498e-5/4.171863e+014 params=0/0 float=y maxiter=500000 bailout=9 colors=00000eihTijVikWilYimZin_ioaipbiqcireisfithi\ uiivjiwlixmiynkdemLXo1Om4Tl7YkAbiCghFlgIqfKugHphFk\ iCfjAak8Xl5Sm3Nm1JtKarJ`pI`nH`mG`kF`iE_L10M20N30O4\ 0P50Q60R70S80T90UA0WC0YF0_I0aL1cO1eR1gU1iX1k_1mb1o\ f1rj1tn1wr1yu1zp2zl2zh2zd3z_3zW3wS4rO4mJ4hF5cB5a75\ _35ZB6ZI7YP7YW8Xb9Xi9WpAWwASj8OZ7KN6HB5LDFTrVRmTPh\ ROcQMZOLUMJPLIKJGFH7vX9lTBbQCUMEKJgKdbI_YHWTFSOEOJ\ CKPuCNnDMgEK`EJVFHOFGHG`0hZ1eX2cV3aU4_S5XQ6VP6TN7R\ L8OK9MIAKGBIEIdFHbFHaFH`FG_FGZFGXFFWFFVFFUFETFERFE\ QFDPFDOFDNFCLFCKFCJFBIFBH9aFA_GAYGBWGBVGBTGCRGCQGf\ zzezzdzzczzbwzauz`sz_qzZozYmzXkzWizVgwUerTdlTbjS`g\ RZfQYcQXaPWZOUXNSUNQRMOQLLPKJOKGNJEMIBLHAKH8JG6IF4\ HE2GD0FC0EB0DA0C90B80A7096085074063052041030020010\ 000000000000000000008x4Bg8DRCf4D`6EV7FQ9FKAGNWPMUO\ LSNLQMKPMJNLJLKIJJHIJHGIGEHFCGCR5DQ6DP6DP7DO7DN8DN\ 8DM9DL9ELAEKAEJBEJBEIBEHC } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint ;
