; Today's image is found in the same oversized Mandelbrot set as 
; yesterday's.  But instead of lying just west of the main-spike 
; minibrot, it lies in the minibrot's East Valley.

; The image does not show the bottomless pit of a minibrot, though 
; it is filled with minibrots.  It shows what I call an 
; 'antiminibrot'.  In this case a decorated shield-shaped dimple 
; rising up toward the surface, with its high point near the 
; center of the shield.

; I named the image "Scene Near a Peak" when I noticed the wrong 
; way the colors flow when the image is in coloring mode.

; I rated the image at an 8, which means I consider it 
; significantly above average, even if it does appear a bit too 
; feminine for the macho fractal tastes that are so trendy in 
; today's high-speed modern world.
