In today's image I have taken a ; minibrot of unlikely order 11 and mixed it with some Z^2 to ; produce a picture I have named "Lurid Revelations". Now don't ; get worked up, it's not a scene from a cheap racy novel, it's a ; lurid red fractal featuring a mighty Z^11 minibrot at the center. ; ; As is true with so many of the fractals created by the MultiExp ; formula, (which I am still working on), the parent fractal is an ; oversized Mandelbrot set. Today's scene is located on a ; filament near the 'star' of the period-5 bud on the northwest ; shore line of the oversized parent M-set. ; ; The rating of a 7 is the most I could give the image. The ; colors are simply too sensationalized for the image to be rated ; any higher. ; ; But even a sensational scene is worth a look, so why not enjoy ; the action by running the included parameter file. When the ; image is finished, you'll be glad you did. ; ; Save time by viewing the finished image on the FOTD web site at: ; ; ; ; Become happier by viewing it in high-definition at: ; ; ; ; And remember the classic FOTD web site at: ; ; ; ; Today here at Fractal Central dawned with lots of clouds and a ; mild temperature of 43F +6C. The clouds cleared away by late ; morning, leading to a mostly sunny afternoon, but at the same ; time, a stiff breeze arose from the north, and by afternoon the ; temperature had dropped to freezing and was continuing to fall. ; The backward weather left the fractal cats puzzled. They spent ; an unusual amount of time on their sunny shelf, watching the ; flurries of leaves scurry by. ; ; The humans, who had an uneventful day, passed the time passing ; the time. The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours. Until ; then, take care, and what is the name of the large island just ; south of Antarctica? ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jimmuth@earthlink.net ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= Lurid_Revelations { ; time=0:03:00.00 SF5 at 2000MHZ reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=basicer.frm formulaname=MultiExp function=recip center-mag=-59.61919339735364/+66.26749132740244/\ 3.864291e+009 params=11/100 float=y maxiter=2750 inside=0 logmap=380 periodicity=6 colors=000c_TdXTdVSeSSePRfNQfKQgHPgFPhCOhAOj9Ml9Km\ 8Io8Gp8Er7Ct7Au68w66x64r50m50g40b40X30S30M20H20D10\ B10920B20D20F20H20K20M20O30Q30S30U30X30Z30`30b30d4\ 0f42i44k46m48o4Aq4Cs4EtFGuQJv`MwkPwvTutWtsXrqYajWb\ gVbdVcbUj9QiAShBTfCVeDWdEYbFZaG``HaZIcYJdXLfWMgUNi\ TOjSPlQQmPRoOSpMTrLUsKVuJWvIUsHTpGRmFQkFOhENeDLcCK\ `CIYBHVAFT9EQ9CN8BL79I68F66C55A437324312A19H1GO1NV\ 1Ua1`h1go1np4op6op8opAoqCoqEoqGoqIorKorMorOorQorSo\ nQnjOmgMmcKl_IkXHkUJjRLjPMiMOiKPiLRfLTdMVbMX`MYZN_\ XNaUOcSOeQOfOPhMPjKQlIQnFQoDRqBRs9Su7Sw5Sx3Rt3Qq3P\ n3Ok3Ng3Md3La3KZ3IV3GR3EN3DK3CG3BC3A83A53A13A03A45\ A97AE9FJBGOCHSEHXGIaIJfJKkLLpNMuPMzQeCmdBjdBhcBecB\ cbB`bBZbBXaBUaBS`AP`AN_AK_AI_AGZADZABYA8YD6YK4XP6X\ a7Wc9WcAVcCVcDacNhcWoceucntcmtcluckvcjwcixchycgzmg\ zmfzwezwdzwczwbzwazw`zw`zw_zzZzzYzzXzzWzzVzzVzzNzz\ FzzHzzIzzJzzLzzMzzNzzPzzQ } frm:MultiExp { ; Jim Muth z=(0,0), c=pixel, a=-(real(p1)-2), b=imag(p1)+0.00000000000000000001: z=z*z*fn1(z^(a)+b)+c |z| < 100000000 } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint ;
