We explore the area around the large ; Julia-like hole just southeast of the circular main bay of the ; parent. Today's scene is not in this hole itself, but a little ; southwest of it. ; ; The image raises hopes that far better scenes might lie in the ; parent fractal, which at first glance seems too chaotic to hold ; much of value. I'll stick with the parent for a few more days, ; then, if nothing much turns up, I'll move on. ; ; I named the image "The Richest Field" because of the over- ; abundance of intense colors. These colors, combined with the ; near-circular ring of eight open areas around the central ; minibrot, earn a rating of an honorable 8. ; ; The calculation time of 2-1/2 minutes seems a fair price for the ; image, but sometimes fractalists are simply too busy to spare ; even this time. Here is where the web sites come to the rescue. ; ; Today's finished image is posted on the official FOTD web site ; at: ; ; ; ; The high-definition version is posted at: ; ; ; ; All the past images are available at: ; ; ; ; Sunny skies and a slightly chilly temperature of 54F 12C made ; today perfectly acceptable here at Fractal Central, at least for ; the humans. The fractal cats waited on their shelf in the ; southwest window for the sun, which was so strong outside, but ; they were disappointed when the sun merely skimmed the edge ; nearest the window. ; ; The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours. Until then, take ; care, and as disquieting as it might be, it could be time to let ; go of the concept of a totally objective reality. ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jimmuth@earthlink.net ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= The_Richest_Field { ; time=0:02:30.00 SF5 at 2000MHZ reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=basicer.frm formulaname=MandAutoCritInZ function=recip float=y center-mag=-7.928037255597731/-31.31152996635444/\ 3.897e+009/1/-130/0 params=-1.3/-3.3/-3.3/-1.3/0/0\ /0/0 maxiter=2000 inside=0 logmap=236 periodicity=6 colors=000EF0770chSX`NQUIKMEDF9674WBtP8hJ6YC4M62Bg\ uUkwNakIS_DJO99C4czSa2fb1WQ1LD0AqWOiRKaMHUIDNDAF96\ 7438wv6kj4_Z3ON1CBAuC7f95T62E3KluGckDWaAOT6GJ389Kz\ aFjSAVJ5F9Gy3Eq2Ci2Aa18V16N14F0270fk4KdUAKF1Bz07e0\ 3LgTCZN9QH7HB4852SKvLFgEAT75ExCUpAQh9Ma7IU6FM4Bf_t\ `ckVfcPiWJmODpG7s81v04r47n7AkADgEGcHJ`KLXOOURRQUUM\ YXJ`_FcaCfXNcSX`NfYIpWGmUFkSEhQDfOCdMBaKA_I9XH8VF7\ TD6QB5O94L73J52H46I69I7CJ8FJ9IJAMKCPKDSLEVLFYLGaMI\ dMJgNKjNLmNMgQNbTOYWPTZPOaQJdREgS9iSFfTKdTPaTV_T_X\ TdVTiNXnG_r9boGamM`jT_hZ_edZckY`qXZwXZwWZwWYwV`_XZ\ aZXc`WebVd`Vd_UdZUdYTdWTdVSdUSdTRdSRdQQdPQdOPdNPdL\ OdKOdJNdINdHMcMMbRMaWL``L_dLZiKYnKXsKXwMYtNZqO_nP`\ kQahSbeTcbUd_VeXWfUYgRZhO_iL`jIakFclCdm9en6fo3go1f\ n4en6dn9cnBcnDbnGanI`nK_nN_nPZnRYnUXnWXnYWn`VnbUnd\ TngTniSnkRnnQnpQnrUppYqo`sndtmhukkwjoxiryhpwfovdnu\ bmt`lsZkrYjqWipUhnSgmQflP } frm:MandAutoCritInZ {; Jim Muth a=real(p1), b=imag(p1), d=real(p2), f=imag(p2), g=1/f, h=1/d, j=1/(f-b), z=(((-a*b*g*h)^j)+(p4)), k=real(p3)+1, l=imag(p3)+100, c=fn1(pixel): z=k*((a*(z^b))+(d*(z^f)))+c, |z| < l } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint ;
