To achieve this ; orientation the entire Julibrot is rotated so that the line in ; the Z-plane halfway between real(Z) and imag(Z) is perpendicular ; to the Mandelbrot plane. Then the direction of the slice is ; rotated from the Mandelbrot orientation 90 degrees around the ; imag(c) axis. (If it's hard to picture, it's even harder to ; describe in writing.) ; ; The same maze of railroad tracks is still there, but the tracks ; have now grown so tiny that only a toy train could run on them. ; The central star-like object at first appears symmetrical, but a ; closer look reveals that it is not. In fact, look close, the ; apparent symmetry of the entire image is an illusion. ; ; I could not give today's image a rating. The scene and colors ; have been worn very thin by so much over-use. ; ; The calculation time of 45 seconds is unusually fast for a ; calculation of such complexity. But the web sites are always ; there to take away all calculation anxieties. ; ; The finished image is posted online at: ; ; ; ; A high definition rendering showing the details of those tiny ; railroad tracks is at: ; ; ; ; The FOTD back images are at: ; ; ; ; Ample clouds and a temperature of 84F 29C made today totally ; unmemorable here at Fractal Central. A light shower fell in the ; morning, but it was of little consequence. The fractal cats ; have finally forgiven us for leaving them alone for three days ; with plenty of food, water and litter, but no companionship, and ; have spent a good part of the day in their cat cube complex. ; ; We humans had another notably average day -- peaceful for us but ; boring for those who seek gossip fodder. The next FOTD will be ; posted in the future-time direction, distance yet to be ; determined, but 24 light-hours is a good estimate. ; ; Until whenever, take care, and poverty exists when people have ; too little money to achieve the average living standard of the ; society in which they live. Therefore poverty can be eliminated ; simply by giving the impoverished the money they need to raise ; their living standard to the average. Why then has this never ; been done in the war against poverty? (Perhaps the problem is ; that simple minds seek simple solutions.) ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jimmuth@earthlink.net ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= Oblate-Rectangular { ; time=0:00:45.00 SF5 at 2000MHZ reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=basicer.frm formulaname=SliceJulibrot5 passes=1 center-mag=+0.00000011840316823/+0.000000000398086\ 79/6.185399e+008/1.6251/0/-37.5184298489989771 params=45/90/0/90/-1.7453288798516/0/-1.7453288798\ 516/0/2.000001/0 float=y maxiter=750 inside=0 logmap=103 periodicity=6 colors=00000A00B00E10H25K3AN4FQ5KT6PW7U_8Yc9agAekB\ ioClsAotDpzGmyJitMeoLaiKYcKUYKQSKMMFIHAEC074042A92\ FI2KT2N`AP`JYXSfT`dVQbWFaY4kgLuqarXPpDCfCJXAQO9X0u\ c3bZ5KUCKd9BX842P9Of5jz_rgDcfTfZMaEFYA8UuI44yq5jj6\ Wc7HXBFrABj98c85XVx7PiCJVHDGM8S27L87FE78KEc_zvZZUU\ f3HAIE8AK5lW6`U6PT7DRO8TJ6SF5RB3Qt18A5G94K83N2`55J\ G6U87GHXB2K69Y_SRRRKJRDAQ0dWFUXCKU9BSbb9SQFHELDjDz\ tC`ZHMIMJCDJCDI87H52I92IC3JF4JI5JM6KP7KS8KV9NYEP`I\ ScMUfQX`UZlYaoacredqbep`fyZgoXhoVinSjnQjyOklMllKmk\ HnkFojDpjBqi9qi7py3r2rp6ooAlnEimIflMdkQajUZiYWhaUg\ eRfiOemLdpJeiLfcNgcPhcRicTjcUkcRkcOkcMkcJkcHkcElmB\ lm9lm6lm4lz2lz2nz2pz2qz2sz2tz2vz2wz2yz2zz2sz2lz6ez\ CZzITzNVzOWzPXzPYzQZzQ_zR`zRazSbzSczTdzTbzPazL_zHZ\ zDYz9Jz24z25z25z25z25z25z25z25z2Cz2Iz8PzEVzKfzKqzK\ DzFCzICzKCzMCzOBzRBzTBzVBzXCzTDzQEzMFzJGzFFzCKz8Pz\ 5Uz2Zz2cz2hz2mz9rzGwzNzzZ } frm:SliceJulibrot5 {; draws all slices of Julibrot pix=pixel, u=real(pix), v=imag(pix), a=pi*real(p1*0.0055555555555556), b=pi*imag(p1*0.0055555555555556), g=pi*real(p2*0.0055555555555556), d=pi*imag(p2*0.0055555555555556), ca=cos(a), cb=cos(b), sb=sin(b), cg=cos(g), sg=sin(g), cd=cos(d), sd=sin(d), p=u*cg*cd-v*(ca*sb*sg*cd+ca*cb*sd), q=u*cg*sd+v*(ca*cb*cd-ca*sb*sg*sd), r=u*sg+v*ca*sb*cg, s=v*sin(a), esc=imag(p5)+9 c=p+flip(q)+p3, z=r+flip(s)+p4: z=(-z)^(real(p5))+c |z|< esc } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint ;
