; Today's image is an unusually rich scene deep in the Mandelbrot 
; set.  It is located in the Seahorse Valley of the large minibrot 
; on the west branch of the filament extending from the large 
; period-3 north bud of the M-set.  Little 'seahorse' stuff is 
; visible in the scene however.
; 
; The rating of an 8-1/2 is based on the unusual coloring, which 
; is the main feature of the image.  The name "Mandelbrot Magic" 
; is somewhat redundant.  After all, all fractals are magical.
; 
; Lying at a depth of over 3*(10^25), the image requires arbitrary 
; precision math and is therefore slow.  The 11 minute wait may be 
; avoided however by checking the web sites.

; Central was near perfect today, with cloudless skies, light 
; winds, and a temperature of 81F 27C.  The fractal cats enjoyed 
; the day as much as possible, totally wrecking their cat cube 
; complex within an hour.

; The humans had a rather busy day, complete with a disagreement 
; about politics.  The next FOTD will be posted on schedule, but
