I gave it this name ; because every square millimeter of it lies inside a larger ; rectangle. A minor outzoom will reveal the edges and near- ; perfect shape of the unseen larger figure. ; ; The image, which is oriented at an angle rotated 2 degrees from ; the Julia toward the Oblate direction, has been highly stretched ; and skewed to return the elements to recognizable proportions. ; ; The square-spiral shapes filling the frame are quite common ; inside Z^(2.003)+C rectangles. They remind me of something ; fractal that I have seen previously, though at the moment I ; cannot recall where. ; ; I rated the image at a 7-1/2, mostly for the unusual near- ; monochrome coloring, which required almost an hour to work out. ; ; The calculation time of 3-1/2 minutes will simply fly by, at ; least for those who live and breathe fractals in the fractal ; multiverse in which we exist. ; ; Be free of both calculation worries and excess pontification. ; View the finished image on the official FOTD web site at: ; ; ; ; See the image in the crystal clarity of high-definition at: ; ; ; ; And check the thousands of back images at: ; ; ; ; After a noisy thunder-storm and lightning show at midnight last ; night, fine warm late summer weather prevailed here at Fractal ; Central today, with mostly blue skies, puffy white clouds and a ; temperature of 88F 31C. The fractal cats spent hours gazing at ; the outside world that they never get to enjoy. The humans ; spent the day occupied with mostly indoor things. The next FOTD ; will be posted in the proper cosmic time, but until that moment ; arrives, take care, and wonder intensely about the things that ; are worth being wondered about. Try to ignore the rest. ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jimmuth@earthlink.net ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= Total_Rectangle { ; time=0:03:30.00 SF5 at 2000MHZ reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=basicer.frm formulaname=slicejulibrot4 passes=1 center-mag=-0.01026601878632473/+0.001090051691336\ 55/6101232/7.5631/45.6182041810158836/-19.25480371\ 52274709 params=88/0/90/0/-1.7435/0.0001/0.000175/\ 0.073883/2.003/0 float=y maxiter=4800 inside=255 logmap=438 periodicity=6 mathtolerance=0.05/1 colors=000wzzwzztzzrzzrwzrwzrwzrtzrtxrturrsrrprrnr\ pkppirpgrmdrmbrm_rk_rkbrkbrhbrhbrhbrfbrfbrfbrhirfd\ rfbrf_rfYrfWrfUrfSrdQrdOpdKpdIpdGndFnbDk`BkX9kV8iT\ 6iO4fO2fO0dO0dO0dM0bM0bM0_F0_F0_F0XF0XF0VF0VF0VF0T\ A0TA0RA0RA0PA0RA0RA0RA0RA0RA0RA0RA0RA0TA0TA0TA0TI0\ TI0TI0TI0TI0VI0VI0VI0VI0VN0VN0VN0VN0XN0XN0XN0XT0XT\ 0XT0XT0XT0XT0_R0_R0_R0_R0_R0_R0_R0_R2bP2bP3bP3bP4b\ P4bP6bP6bP8dO8dO9dO9dOBdOBdODdODdOFfPDdOFdOGdMGbMI\ bMIbKKbKK_KM_IM_IOXIOXHQXHQXHSVFSVFUVFWQDKODKODKOC\ KMCKMCKMBKMBKKBAK9AK9AI9AI8AI8AI8AG8AG8KG8KG8KE8KE\ 8KE8KC8KC8KC8KC8KA8KA8KA8K88KA8KA8KF8gF8dH8dH8dH8d\ H8bJ8bJ8bJ9_J9_LB_LC_LCYLDYNFYNFYNHgNIgPIgPKdPMdPM\ dROdRPbRPbRRbRT_TT_TV_TX_TXYVZYVRiVRiVTgXVgXVgXXdX\ Zd_Zd_Rd_Tb_TbbVbbX_bX_bZ_d`_d`YdbYddYbhWdfYddYdbY\ d`_dZ_dX_dVbfbbf`bfZbfZdfXdfddfbgi`giZgiXgiViiTiiR\ iiRkkPkkOkkMnkKnkInkHnJZQ } frm:SliceJulibrot4 {; draws all slices of Julibrot pix=pixel, u=real(pix), v=imag(pix), a=pi*real(p1*0.0055555555555556), b=pi*imag(p1*0.0055555555555556), g=pi*real(p2*0.0055555555555556), d=pi*imag(p2*0.0055555555555556), ca=cos(a), cb=cos(b), sb=sin(b), cg=cos(g), sg=sin(g), cd=cos(d), sd=sin(d), p=u*cg*cd-v*(ca*sb*sg*cd+ca*cb*sd), q=u*cg*sd+v*(ca*cb*cd-ca*sb*sg*sd), r=u*sg+v*ca*sb*cg, s=v*sin(a), esc=imag(p5)+9 c=p+flip(q)+p3, z=r+flip(s)+p4: z=z^(real(p5))+c |z|< esc } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint ;
