; Today's pre-doomsday fractal is a close-up of the edge of the 
; curious rectangle that appeared in yesterday's image.  The slow 
; top part of the scene is the inside of the rectangle, the much 
; faster bottom part consists of outside stuff.

; To me, the image appears as little more than a vast wasteland, 
; perhaps the way our earth will appear the day after doom.
; 
; The calculation starts out slow, but as the scan moves down the 
; screen, the calculation speeds up condiderably.  The total time 
; of 3-3/4 minutes is slower than I would prefer, but still fast 
; enough to allow time to prepare for the end.  The name "Eight to 
; Doomsday" indicates that the remaining days are dwindling fast.
