It's almost ; a Julia set because it is double-rotated 0.01,0.01 degree from ; the true Julia orientation. (To see the true Julia version, ; change the (p1) and (p2) parameters to 90.) ; ; I might have rated the image a point or so higher if there were ; not so many similar tree-like images in FOTD history. As it is, ; the rating of a solid 7 is perfectly average. The name "Another ; of the Trees" indicates my dis-satisfaction with a fractal theme ; that is becoming hackneyed. ; ; The calculation time of 4 minutes is rather slow, and I'm not ; sure the image is worth the wait. This is where the web sites ; become a blessing in disguise. ; ; Check the finished image posted at: ; ; ; ; And the hi-def variations at: ; ; ; ; The back images are available at: ; ; ; ; Spring was in full bloom here at Fractal Central today as the ; temperature reached 72F 22C and the sky remained nearly ; cloudless. The fractal cat enjoyed his appointed time in the ; sun on his shelf, though with the sun now at an increasingly ; high angle it is missing the back edge of the shelf. The humans ; passed the day working and sometimes pondering the pathetic ; state of our 'modern' culture. ; ; The next FOTD will be posted in the proper time. Until ; whenever, take care, and what will we do when the internet is ; turned off by the same dark forces that created it and then were ; satisfied at how easily we became addicted? ; ; (I'm not serious of course . . . or am I?) ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jimmuth@earthlink.net ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= AnotherOfTheTrees { ; time=0:04:00.00 SF5 at 2000MHZ reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=basicer.frm formulaname=SliceJulibrot5 passes=1 center-mag=0.218919/0/13.36618/0.8579/90/0 params=89.99/0/89.99/0/-1.1352113/0/0/0/1.55/0 float=y maxiter=1500 inside=255 periodicity=6 colors=000ES000a00a00a00_00_00Y00Y00Y00X00X00X00W0\ 0W00W00U00U00S00S00S00Q00Q00Q00O00O00O00M00M00K00K\ 00K00K00I00I00I00G00G00G00E00E00C00C00C00900900900\ 80080080060060030030030000000000000000000000000000\ 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000jzw\ jzwhzufzrezqcxoawn_tlYrjYqhXofWneUjcShaQf_QdYObXM_\ WKYUIXSGWQGUOEQKCOI9MG8KE6GC3E93C80960830300000000\ 00000000000000000IzzGzzEzzCzz9xz8ux8qu6nq3hl0eh0_c\ 0XY0SW0OQ0IK0EG089033000000000W8fU6eU6cS6cS6aQ3aQ3\ _O3YO3YM0XM0XK0WK0UK0UI0SI0SG0QG0OE0OE0MC0MC0K90I9\ 0I80G80G80E60C60C309309008006006003003000000000000\ 000000000000000000000000000000000000xS0tO0qM0nK0jI\ 0eG0aE0Y90W80S60M30I00E00900600000000000000tz0rz0q\ z0qz0oz0oz0nz0nz0lz0lz0jz0jz0hz0hz0fz0fz0ez0ez0cx0\ aw0au0_u0_t0Yr0Yq0Xq0Xo0Wn0Wl0Ul0Uj0Sh0Sf0Qf0Qe0Oc\ 0Oa0Ma0K_0KY0IX0IW0GW0IOO } frm:SliceJulibrot5 {; draws all slices of Julibrot pix=pixel, u=real(pix), v=imag(pix), a=pi*real(p1*0.0055555555555556), b=pi*imag(p1*0.0055555555555556), g=pi*real(p2*0.0055555555555556), d=pi*imag(p2*0.0055555555555556), ca=cos(a), cb=cos(b), sb=sin(b), cg=cos(g), sg=sin(g), cd=cos(d), sd=sin(d), p=u*cg*cd-v*(ca*sb*sg*cd+ca*cb*sd), q=u*cg*sd+v*(ca*cb*cd-ca*sb*sg*sd), r=u*sg+v*ca*sb*cg, s=v*sin(a), esc=imag(p5)+9 c=p+flip(q)+p3, z=r+flip(s)+p4: z=(-z)^(real(p5))+c |z|< esc } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ; ; ; _______________________________________________ ; Fractint mailing list ; Fractint@mailman.xmission.com ; http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint ;
