; the brilliant colors, there have been so many similar images in 
; the past that the theme has become hackneyed, holding down the

; Morning clouds gave way to afternoon sun here at Fractal Central 
; today.  The fractal cat stretched out on the hardwood floor as 
; the temperature reached a pleasant 81F 27C.  The humans simply 
; had a pleasant day, though I have noticed how much less active 
; our pleasant days have become since I launched the FOTD in April 
; of 1997.  The fractal cat's pleasant days are slowing down also, 
; especially now that he has no lady playmate to keep him on the 
; run.
