; Today's image combines various negative portions of straight Z, 
; Z^(2), Z^(3) and Z^(4) before adding straight C on each 
; iteration.  The critical initial value of Z is -0.623....  On 
; the surface the parent fractal resembles a quartic Mandeloid 
; rotated 180 degrees, but in its depths the parent takes on 
; purely quadratic characteristics.

; Today's scene lies in a valley in a small distorted bud on the 
; northeast shore line of the northwest lobe of the 3-lobed main 
; bay of the parent.
; 
; I named the image "Intricate Activity" because of the intricate 
; patterns surrounding the central minibrot.  This intricacy seems 
; to be a typical part of images created from four separate 
; exponents of Z, and might hold much fractal promise.

; The double rating of a 7 indicates that the image is somewhat 
; above average, but nowhere near worth the 1/4 hour required to 
; calculate it.  If I had put more effort into the coloring, I 
; might have been able to raise the art rating to a 7-1/2 or even 
; an 8.

; however, leading to a mostly sunny and quite pleasant afternoon

; outside conditions from his safe chair indoors.  The humans 
; meanwhile passed the day doing human things.
