My Wife

Despite the fact that The Who are invariably regarded as a vehicle for Townshend's writing, over the years, bassist John Entwistle ("The Ox" to both friends and enemies) has regularly contributed a large number of songs to The Who's recorded repertoire.

As this song of less-than-marital-bliss illustrates, Entwistie's persistent penchant for Black Comedy not only compliments The Who's often irreverent stance, but has earned him a fanatic Stateside following where his many solo albums are the object of cultist admiration.

Originally, included in the "Who's Next" collection, in the US, "My Wife" was released as the flip of "Behind Blue Eyes." 1K icon; 197x200 6K image
