In the name of god Amen The xxixth daie of September Año dmi~ 1617 I Elizabeth Cooke of Heywood in the p~ish of Burgwallis in the Countie of York widdow weake in bodie but whole and p~fect in Remembrance praised be god, and callinge to mynde the frailenes of mans lot howe that noethinge is soe suer as death yet noethinge soe unsuer as the hower of death Doe ordaine constitute ordaine and make this my Last Will and testam~t in manner and forme following first I Commend my soule into the hands of almightie god my maker and to Jesus Christ my Redeemer and Saviour by and through the meritts and benefitts of whose death and passion I trust to be saved and by noe other meanes and my bodie to the earth from whence it came to be buried at the discretion of my friends and to incharge such worldlie goods as god haith blessed me wthall my word and will is to have them desposed as hereafter followeth First I give and bequeath to Chris~fer Ambler my sonne xii£ in full satisfaction of his childs p~te Item I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Pigborne wief of John Pigborne my daughter xiid in mony daughter xiid my best pan and two pewther donblers in full satisfact~on of her childs p~te Item I give and bequeath to Katherine Willm~son the wief of John Willm~son my daughter xiid in mony all my app~ell my Land Iron and Rocken tree two pans and my best chest one suitt a paire of Iron Racks in full satisfaction of her childs p~te Item I give and bequeath to Margaret my daughter a black quie a stove of stax and a gylefatt in full satisfaction of her childs p~te Item I give and bequeath to Isabell Ambler the daughter of Chris~fer Ambler one ewe lambe Item I give and bequeath to Marg~t Sherecroft daughter of Thomas Sherecroft a couple of sheepe & the rest of my goods unbequeathed I give and bequeath to Susanna Cooke to wch I am grandmother whome I doe make my true and lawfull executrix of this my last will and testament And I doe Comit the tuit~on & bringing up of her minoritie to Marg~t Ambler aforesaid my daughter trusting she will see her brought up wth meat and app~ell fittinge for her and paie and discharge my debts legacies and severall expenses and I doe Revocke and call backe all form~ wills heretofore made Those being witnesse of this my last will and testam~t witnesses (Elizabeth Cooke) Wm Potl Charles Ambler
