Welcome to the group, Ted. DailyGraphs Online appears to be down this morning, hope they haven't gone commercial. But while MSFT is not a perfect model of CANSLIM, I think it meets some of the more important criteria such as consistent growth. As to "N", you could throw in Windows 98, despite all the antitrust bs (like someone capable of navigating the net can't discover a site to download Netscape or any other browser!!). Will pass any comments on CRII later after I look at some charts. Of course, the most obvious is the price, which takes it way out of consideration by the institutionals. Its business connection to Japan is likely not helping its price currently, but that could change by the end of the year. And if it's your first "dog" after two years of investing, then it's about time you got bitten and made your financial offerings to the stocks gods <grin>!!
