Hi Don,

The link to the FAQ is included in the welcome email new members receive when
they join the list and is published to the list itself at least once a month.
Find it at:

are having trouble displaying the document within their browser)

Where exactly can one find this FAQ? For that matter, how might I find some
archives that one might search to find the answers to the question when
previously asked???

My contributions to list would be...

  HTMMIS (for obvious reasons)
"Trader Vic" by Victor Sperandeo .....
good for learning about trends, trend change, and the back section about
general investment philosophy and attitude
"How to Buy" by Justin Mammis
Good discussion of this concept, good remarks about reading charts.
"How to Sell" by Justin Mammis
Kind of the inverse of above, but much, much more.
"Secrets of a Stock Operator" -- LeFavre
Great stories, great example of attitude. I believe that so much of
investing/trading is attitude. This helped me refine it, helped me become more
objective and less emotional.

You just asked for 5. I probably have more than a dozen favorites, and many
have equal weighting. I'd love to see other's favs.

Don (my middle initial is "M") Canfield

Me thinks this question is asked so much that it deserves entry into the
"Jeff's CANSLIM list" hall of fame. Or, maybe just add a few of the more often
mentioned selections to the list FAQ.

If you were to make a list of 5 books for a new investor to read, what
would they be and why?

      Many thanks in advance,
      Gene
