Thanks Katherine

I've been a member lurker for years, and I've decided that it's time I =
started to contribute. I've learned a lot here, and I've always loved =
Tom's comments. I miss him dearly. Your wisdom has always been a =
beacon, even more than his anecdotal news. This board is a wonderful =
resource.  =20

I've found that the true value of the internet is mailing lists like =
this combined with the resources contributors suggest. I subscribe to =
another similar list that caters to my profession, and I find that =
equally valuable to this. On that list, I'm one of the "wise old men". =
On this, I feel I'm an informed student. You all here are so far ahead =
of me, but still, I manage to keep ahead of the market.

So, consider this my "introduction" to this list, even though I've been =
a "lurking" member for some years.... I plan to participate more. I'm =
amused that one of the current "elders" has my initials as his screen =
name....

  Hi Don,

The link to the FAQ is included in the welcome email new members =
receive when they join the list and is published to the list itself at =
least once a month. Find it at:

   http://WallStreet-LLC.com/canslim/CANSLIMFAQ.doc (Word for Windows =
Document) or

   http://WallStreet-LLC.com/canslim/CANSLIMFAQ.zip (zipped version for =
those who are having trouble displaying the document within their =
browser)

Where exactly can one find this FAQ? For that matter, how might I =
find some archives that one might search to find the answers to the =
question when previously asked???

My contributions to list would be...

    HTMMIS (for obvious reasons)
"Trader Vic" by Victor Sperandeo .....=20
good for learning about trends, trend change, and the back =
section about general investment philosophy and attitude
"How to Buy" by Justin Mammis
Good discussion of this concept, good remarks about reading =
charts.
"How to Sell" by Justin Mammis
Kind of the inverse of above, but much, much more.
"Secrets of a Stock Operator" -- LeFavre
Great stories, great example of attitude. I believe that so =
much of investing/trading is attitude. This helped me refine it, helped =
me become more objective and less emotional.

You just asked for 5. I probably have more than a dozen favorites, =
and many have equal weighting. I'd love to see other's favs.

Me thinks this question is asked so much that it deserves entry =
into the "Jeff's CANSLIM list" hall of fame. Or, maybe just add a few =
of the more often mentioned selections to the list FAQ.
